The Canine Coach Team Walk is a fantastic opportunity to expose your dog to a new environment while enhancing your handling skills in a supportive and structured setting.

For this event, we will be doing hike around Discovery Lake's Gratitude Trail.
Address: 650 Foxhall Drive, San Marcos, California, 92078

WHAT TO EXPECT

During the entirety of the walks, dogs and owners keep their distance allowing every dog to experience being around others with enough space to feel secure. We finish every walk with a Relax & Decompress Session - which is the perfect time to practice sit, down, or stay with your dog if they are ready for it! This is also a great time to ask the trainer questions. We can’t wait to meet you!

MEETING DETAILS

We’ll be meeting in the small grassy area past the parking lot near the picnic tables. When you arrive, please find a spot in or near our circle. Make sure there’s enough space for everyone, keeping at least 3 feet between each dog to allow yourself and others space to handle their dog. Coach Ariel will start by introducing herself to the group, and then go around the circle so everyone can introduce their Canine hiking partner.

PARKING INFORMATION

You can park along Foxhall Drive or in the neighboring streets. There’s also a small parking lot near the lake, but it tends to fill up quickly, so arrive early if you plan to use it. Parking is free.

Before signing up, please take a moment to review the Team Walk Guidelines and How to Prepare sections on our Canine Coach Team Walk webpage.

EVENT DETAILS
Meeting Time: 9:00 AM
Walk Distance: 0.8 miles (1 lap around the Gratitude Trail)
Walk Duration: Approximately 30 minutes, with 1 short break to hydrate.
Trail Difficulty: Easy, Flat (22 ft Elevation Gain)
Trail Type: Gravel, pavement, and one section of dirt trail

Feel free to use treats and positive feedback to encourage good behavior!
Meet the Trainer! Coach Ariel Santa Maria from Canine Coach will be leading our walk! During the Relax & Decompress session, this is your chance to seek advice from a professional dog trainer and gain valuable insights to help you and your canine thrive!
Formal Close: At the end of our time together, Coach Ariel will formally conclude the event. You’re welcome to leave at any time that suits you and your dog.
Ending Time: 10:30 AM
