Seakayak Weekend Ticino, Lake Lugano

A weekend adventure in the warmer climes of beautiful Ticino. A weekend trip with just about a right amount of paddling, great tasting pizza and coffee, taking in the Ticinese ambience. Our paddle trips takes us across the lake passing UNESCO world heritage sites, beautiful old fishing villages and stunning mountain backdrops.

The trip involves two full days paddling (around 15 km per day) but is still fine for those relatively new to the sport - we recommend that you have some kayaking experience or have attended a beginners and/or rescue course, which will then allow us to develop your skills further.

As with all our tours, we take the opportunity to help develop your forward paddling technique and maneuverability in your kayak. These trips are our improver courses built into a journey and we aim to help you become a stronger paddler, as well as exploring a new area and enjoying a great weekend away.

Booking your place
Please note that places on our trips and courses are limited and are assigned on a first come first served basis based on bookings made through our website (booking link below), so your place will only be confirmed once you have completed the booking process and we have received your payment. Payment can be made by bank transfer or through our secure credit card provider and full course or trip details will then be provided upon completion of the booking. Please note that RSVPs made without completing a booking will not reserve you a place. We thank you for your understanding with this.

Weather
One of the great things about the sport is that we can go out in almost any weather and still have a great day out, whether that’s on a beautiful calm day, a day with rain drops all around and dramatic waterfalls or a day with the challenge of wind and waves. And after many years on the water, we can honestly say that we’ve never had a bad day, and that each day offers something special. In stormy or very windy conditions however, the tour may be cancelled and you will be offered an alternative trip or course date or a full refund.

Cancellation & Insurance
Cancellation is subject to our terms and conditions which can be found here: https://hightide.ch/en/terms-conditions/. We also recommend taking out cancellation insurance in case of sickness, as we are unable to offer a refund at short notice.

Accommodation
Camping Monte Generoso; Via Tannini 12, Melano. Tent pitches and shared or private caravans to rent. For rooms, contact Ristorante Della Stazione Maroggia (600m from the campsite) or B&B Il Vigneto in Melano (1,8km from the campsite). Bookings can be done directly with the accommodation provider.

Meeting
Meeting on Saturday morning at 9am at the Camping Monte Generoso, where we have a coffee together and plan the weekend before heading out on the water.
