Swing on the Stour
Canterbury’s monthly swing dance club at the atmospheric riverside Mooring Cafe & Bar, home to the Canterbury Punting Company.
Tonight we’re starting with a solo charleston class with guest teacher Jerome Anderson.
Featuring a great mix of Big Band Swing, Jump Jive, Boogie Woogie, Gypsy Jazz, Early Rhythm’N’Blues, Western Swing, Hillbilly Boogie, Broadway and Movie Melodies, Latin, Exotica and Calypso from the 1930’s to the early 1950’s.
No strict dress code but vintage style is always appreciated.
7.30pm: taster Solo Charleston swing dance class with guest teacher Emma Claydon
8pm-10pm: social dancing
