Swing & Jive at The Clearing

Folkestone has a new FREE monthly night of 1920’s to 1950’s music and dance at The Clearing at the Quarterhouse.

Each month our guest DJs will bring you a great mix of 1920’s Charleston, 1930’s and 40’s Swing, Jump Jive and Western Swing, 1950’s Rock’n’roll , Rockabilly, Doowop, along with vintage Latin, Lounge and Calypso.

This month our evening starts at 7pm with an optional fun basic solo Charleston class with experienced guest dance teacher Jerome Anderson. £5.00 per person for the class, payable in cash directly to the teacher.

The Clearing bar is card only.

After the class, we have dancing until midnight with our first guest, DJ Reverend Boogie, who was resident DJ at award winning vintage London night club Hula Boogie and DJs regularly in clubs, all-dayers, weekenders and festivals in the UK, France, Italy and Switzerland.
