Welcome women who love adventure travel in a small group setting! Our adventure destinations are a mixture of personal favorites, our guide’s input, research, and guest ideas. We choose destinations that are especially scenic AND offer an array of fun ways to explore the outdoors. We offer ‘soft’ adventure trips too, active vacations with more emphasis on food and wine, maybe a mineral spa or two, but above all we continue to ensure a superb adventure vacation for you! Join us in the beautiful Colorado mountains. We spend much of our time hiking in the Rocky Mountains. We’ll visit Crested Butte, where the whole town is a National Historic District. We’ll enjoy this outdoor playground as we hike some of the most scenic canyons and trails. We’ll white water raft the Gunnison River and hike in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Kayaking in the Blue Mesa Reservoir is delightful. A farm-to-table approach is emphasized in these mountain towns, and we’ll experience this firsthand and eat the delicious results. And what trip to Colorado is complete without a tasting at a micro-brewery? We’ll do that too! Join us to explore, breathe in the fresh air and find your zen in the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. At a comfortable 3600’ above sea level, and a climate typical of the high desert with cool nights and sunny days, this is the perfect place to get our wanderlust on! We’ll hike beautiful trails that run along the mighty Deschutes River, alpine trails flecked with wildflowers in the Cascade Mountains, ancient junipers, craggy volcanic formations, and soaring hawks overhead. A special treat is planned for our last evening. Watching the night sky from our canoes is a truly awe-inspiring moment. Our local naturalist guide (with award winning interpretation) also brings dessert from the local bakery to make it even more special.
