Who wants to join us in Arizona for some real (wet) canyoneering?!

The only fee for this trip is a $30/person non-refundable fee which includes camping. (If you cancel anytime after you sign-up, you forfeit your $30 as a cancellation fee.) Because canyoneering is inherently dangerous, this event is ONLY open to people with professional canyoneering training, preferably from Uber Adventures, or significant canyoneering experience! (if you're not sure if your training or experience qualify, give me a shout before you sign-up!) Because this event is SOCIAL, we will rely on experienced people to allow rookies in their groups while descending some awesome, wet & friendly canyons!

If you want to go to this event ... get the Uber Adventures training and become a competent participant and valuable team member!

CAMPING: I've reserved a large group campsite near Globe, AZ. It will hold 100 people (though fewer cars)! This campsite has water, fire rings, covered pavilion/picnic area, restrooms and showers! The GPS point for the entrance to the Grapevine Group Campsite near Roosevelt, AZ is: 33.639657, -111.049206. Our Loop is called: ____________________.

CARPOOL! DO IT! Parking is always an issue in campgrounds.

You're also responsible for your own travel, and your own meals ... except!... Let's have a Mexican-style potluck on Saturday evening at 6:30pm. Keep the contributions of a Mexican theme and bring your sombrero! Let's make it a party, as well as a meal! (Maybe we should call this one UBERFiesta!) So, bring things like chips, salsa, beans, rice, flan, Dos Equis, Corona .. etc! Don't forget to bring a means to heat-and-serve-and clean your dish. Also, you are responsible to provide your own plate, cup, spoon, knife, fork .. etc.

These are some of the canyons you should try to find beta for: Barnhardt, Big Kahuna, Waterslides, Parker, The Jug of Salome Creek, Punchbowl, ZigZag, Minnow, Christopher Creek, ETC ETC ETC! MOST of these canyons will require a wetsuit as the water will be frigid, even if the weather is not! (think melting snow runoff) If you're going to rent one, get a 4/3 and wear a rain shell over the top to keep the wind from evaporative-cooling you. (Leaders: PLEASE DON'T POST YOUR PLANNED CANYONS ON HERE, but keep me in the loop of your plans! We will have sign-up sheets at the campsite.)

P.S. I'm limiting the RSVP's to +1 ... if your +1 hasn't taken a 3-day basic Technical Canyoneering Course from UBER Adventures or doesn't have SIGNIFICANT CANYONEERING EXPERIENCE, they need my permission or should not be attending.
