Street Photography: No Kings Protest
Details
It will no doubt be too crowded to meet up in person at any of these Saturday events, but the No Kings Protest at the Hyannis Rotary, and others, provide a rich opportunity for photographers to capture candid portraits and street photographs. In addition to the Hyannis Rotary, there are other protests in Falmouth (noon) and Chatham (3pm), Eastham (11am) and Wareham (11:30am) as well as the Vineyard (1:30pm). The Hyannis details can be found here, with links to other opportunities at the bottom of the page. This may be of particular interest to those who heard my talk last Monday at the DY Photo Group.
As always with street photography, be aware of your surroundings, avoid confrontations, be careful crossing streets, and read the details of the event before arriving. Should you be so inclined you can both photograph and protest.
I'll probably be at the corner with the Starbucks/Ocean State stores, but there'll be a big crowd at all available corners. Feel free to upload your images to this Meetup after the event.
