Finding the Shot: The Art & Craft of Better Seeing

5-week class starts Monday, March 22 at 6pm.

Combining Zoom classes and field shoots, this 5-week class will help you take your photography to the next level and get you consistently creating higher quality images. We'll work with landscapes and scenics, close-ups, still lifes and other styles, and delve into topics such as composition and design, light and lighting, the use of depth of field, shutter speed and lenses as compositional tools, the art of “seeing” and expressiveness, plus editing techniques to optimize your images. We’ll put theory into practice with at least two outdoor shooting sessions at various locations around the Cape, plus weekly homework and image review sessions. We’ll also look at the work of photographers working in various genres and styles and examine how they turned “interesting stuff” into interesting pictures. Offered through the Cape Cod Art Center.
