East Fort to The Outlook Platform via The Old Fisherman's Trail

The last of our Intermediate Beginner Hikes. (but for one more in April) We hike from the parking area just past East Fort on Chapman;s Peak Drive, to The Outlook Platform at the top of the mountain via The Old Fisherman's Trail. No scrambling, only hiking, This is a rather senior Intermediate Beginners Hike being 8 klm with a height gain of 600 meters. As we move into the cooler months we will be tackling longer and more strenuous hikes. So, here is a hike to test your fitness. You do need to have some fitness for this hike. However , we do have the most magnificent views of Hour Bay and the Atlantic Ocean as we climb to the top and on the way down. We return via a high traverse to complete a round trip back to the cars.
Bring water, lunch, a jacket in case of cooler weather. No dogs please. The fee is R 40.00 which you can pay via EFT to my bank account below my name or cash on the day.
