Agenda
Community Intro and Welcoming
18:00 - Community Intro and Welcoming
18:05 - Design, Build and Publish Cross-Platform .NET Applications with Uno Platform
Building native applications continues to get more complex and more expensive sinc you have to support not only mobile platforms, iOS and Android, but also Windows, Mac and Linux, and of course the web. The Uno Platform simplifies the whole process with a framework that allows you to design and develop applications from a single codebase.
In this workshop you'll walk through building a cross platform application using the Uno Platform. The session will also cover the various productivity tools that are available to accelerate the development process. This includes Design-to-Code using the Figma plugin, Advanced Hot Reload and the recently announced Hot Design.
Hot Design is a next generation visual designer, specifically creted to accelerate the development of UI for cross platform applications built using .NET. It transforms your running application into a design canvas that allows you to edit your application from any IDE, on any OS.
This session will take you from application creation, all the way to publishing and distributing your application.Speaker: Nick Randoph
Nick currently runs Built to Roam which focuses on building rich mobile applications. Nick has been identified as a Microsoft MVP in recognition of his work and expertise with the Windows platform. He is still an active contributor in the device application development space via his blog at http://nicksnettravels.builttoroam.com.19:05 - Let's Talk About Azure and the Internet of Things!
With the hype of AI, the buzz around "Internet of Things" has been left by the wayside. It is however still very much a "Thing" in the world. In the age of AI: Data and Telemetry are more important than ever. In this session we will have a look at all the IoT offerings found in Azure from the "old" but proven, “Azure IoT Hub” to the shiny new “Azure IoT Operations” currently in preview.
We will cover all the available options including:
Azure IoT Hub
Azure IoT Edge
Azure Event Grid
Azure IoT Central
Azure IoT OperationsDuring the session we will talk about where to use what and when. From Cloud IoT to Edge IoT and the services and solutions provided in Azure for each option.
I hope you will join me in this look at all the options we have in our Azure Toolbox to add the "I" of “IoT” to our electronic, embedded creations and flashy LED solutions!
