Introduction to GitHub

Get started using GitHub in less than an hour. Introduction to repositories, branches, commits, and pull requests.

Introduction to GitHub Codespaces

Develop code using GitHub Codespaces and Visual Studio Code! How to create a codespace, push code from a codespace, select a custom image, and customize a codespace.

Introduction to GitHub Copilot

How GitHub Copilot works, Responsible AI, and setup Understand AI-assisted coding principles and configure GitHub Copilot for development

Hands-on Labs

GitHub Copilot can help you code by offering autocomplete-style suggestions right in VS Code and Codespaces.

This hackathon includes hands-on learning opportunities. Don’t forget to bring your laptop and power supply, plus any additional peripherals you may need (dongles, mouse, etc.).

All attendees who completed the hands-on are eligible for a credibly badge of participation.

Venue is the UWC Samsung Future Innovation Lab within the UWC Campus on Robert Sobukwe.
