18:05 - Unifying Local and Cloud AI with Microsoft Agent Framework

Modern applications are no longer limited to a single AI model or environment. In this session, we explore how to combine on-device intelligence with cloud-scale models to build powerful, cohesive workflows.

You’ll see how local OS models - such as Apple Intelligence and Phi Silica - can handle responsive, privacy-sensitive tasks directly on the device, while cloud models extend capabilities with deeper reasoning and broader context.

Using the Microsoft Agent Framework, we’ll orchestrate these components into a unified system that routes work intelligently between edge and cloud.
