About the talk
In this talk, I will explore the {ellmer} package for working with large language models (LLMs) in R. I will show how to customise an LLM’s behaviour using system prompts and tool calling and how to build Shiny apps with built-in chatbots.
About the presenter
Retselisitsoe Monyake is a research software engineer at the Modelling and Simulation Hub, Africa (MASHA) at the University of Cape Town. He focuses on data science and software development problems, building tools to support data work and producing awesome data visualisations.
