Greetings, data enthusiasts!
Our April meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 14th, at 5:30 pm! We will meet in person at: Rensselaer Chamber of Commerce, 90 4th Street, Troy, NY.
Please RSVP if you are attending, so we can purchase an appropriate amount of food for everyone. Food will be from the venerable (and conveniently located) K-Plate! For this meeting, we are welcoming Kristen Hubler, who is joining us from New York City! Thank you for taking the time and energy to join us and share your knowledge!
Our meeting schedule is as follows:
5:30 PM: Food, soft drinks, and networking
6:15 PM: Chapter news and announcements
6:30 PM: Presentation
We usually wrap up between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM. Kristen's session will be, "Mastering the Soft Side of Your Technical Role: From SME to Manager":
Studies show that while IQ is important for landing your technical dream job, it is actually EQ (emotional Intelligence) that will set you apart from your colleagues.
In this session, Mastering the Soft-Side of your Technical Role, we will learn the basics of emotional intelligence and essentials needed for your transition from SME to manager.
We’ll walk through your first week, month, and year as a people leader as well as some habits you can develop now so you’re ready for that promotion when it comes.
