Capital Board Games

Join us for our regular, open format social boardgaming event at the friendly Durham Castle Arms in Kingston.

We play all kinds of card and board games, so bring along the games you want to play or just come along and join any table looking for players. We're a friendly group and we welcome newcomers to the hobby as well as veterans.

The Durham has a terrific selection of craft beers on tap, as well as tea and coffee and delicious pub fare to keep you going through the day.

Attendance at the venue is free so we do ask that you do not bring in outside food or drink and please buy something throughout the day to keep our hosts happy.

We now have game nights every 2nd Wednesday in addition to our Sunday events! Blackbird Bar in the city has a weekly games night on Wednesdays and we're helping host with group sessions each fortnight. Come along for a chance to unwind in the middle of the grind of the week.

Note that the start and end times aren't strict, we aren't going to lock you into them; come and go whenever you need to.

As with our Sunday events, there's no forced purchases required, but Blackbird has $8 jaffles all night (and Maccas and other choices nearby if you need more food) and a variety of cocktails with a chance to get a discount by rolling the dice on every drinks purchase.

The venue entrance is located in Alinga St behind Interchange Terminal 3, and the left hand neighbour of the Transport Canberra information office. Look for the image of the blackbird on the wall and head down the stairs to find the bar.
