In celebration of National Dandelion Day, we’ll forage for Common Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) at Vischer Ferry Nature and Historic Preserve (Town of Clifton Park). Come along for a fun outing to search and forage for all edible parts of this pervasive plant whose worldwide history of edible and medicinal uses is lengthy and extensive. On or after April 5, read my post National Dandelion Day to learn more about this common plant that appears to be simultaneously loathed and loved everywhere.

Weather cancellation: This event will be cancelled if any of the following is occurring or is forecast for this destination at that time:

  • thunderstorms (or any other severe weather),
  • moderate or heavy rainfall (i.e., more than drizzle/mist or intermittent showers),
  • gusty or sustained winds (i.e., treetops are noticeably swaying back and forth),
