SYDNEY HARBOUR BOAT CRUISE! Learn boating, explore beaches, enjoy swimming in the world's most beautiful harbour. Departing Wooloomooloo Marina 11am for a 4 hour cruise returning to the same location at approx 3pm. First stop Seven Shillings Beach / Double Bay, play on the beach or optional swim and snorkel in shallow calm waters. All safety gear is on board, and you will get a safety briefing. Think of this as a trip to the beach so you will need a hat, sunnies, swimming gear, water bottle and a sense of adventure.
RULES: We can only take limited numbers on each trip so do not RSVP unless you are 100% sure of coming along. If you book a spot and arrive late or don't turn up, someone else will miss out and you will not be invited again. This is an active day out, you must be able to swim or tread water, climb a ladder, and be ready to help with simple boating tasks. Generally you need to follow simple instructions while on the boat for your own safety. Your profile must include a recent photo of your face so we can find you at the wharf. Expect to get wet, either swimming or sea spray that's part of the fun. Keep your phone DRY on the day.
WEATHER: Assume your cruise is going ahead rain, hail or shine. Useful crew will always be ready to go! We will often shelter in protected bays. Skipper will make a final call on the morning of the cruise and notify you via the app if there is any change of plan. Dress according to the weather you see out the window.
MEETUP LOCATION: Use this GPS address Wooloomooloo Bay Hotel 2 Bourke St Wooloomooloo. Right opposite there you will see a marina with pleasure boats (not navy boats). Go to that wharf / ladders where the water comes in closest to Cowper Wharf Road. In our photos section you can see the exact "X marks the spot". That is the meeting point. Liaise with other crew. You will easily see the 7m red boat coming in to collect you.
HOW TO GET THERE: Train to Kings Cross and walk down the steps following Google pedestrian mode.
