About us
I started this group because I believe there is something special about slowing down to actually look at the world around us. Capture The Moment is a space for anyone who wants to get back to the basics of drawing, whether you have a dedicated sketchbook you carry everywhere or you haven't picked up a pencil since school. We meet to practice capturing scenes, people, and architecture in real time, focusing more on the experience of observing than on making a perfect piece of art.
Our workshops are casual and supportive, designed to help you get comfortable with your own style. We usually spend the first part of our meetups sharing quick warm-up exercises or tips on perspective and light, followed by plenty of time to sit and sketch in a relaxed environment. If you are looking for a quiet way to spend an afternoon and want to connect with others who appreciate the process of drawing, I would love to have you join us.
