What I've Learned from Go kit

Details
Ross McFarlane will be joining us to talk about Go kit!
Go kit (https://github.com/go-kit/kit) is a microservices toolkit for Go. It provides some useful tools for building RPC-ish services in a modern environment, and gently encourages sensible architecture.
In this talk, I'm going to introduce Go kit by building a simple service (live demo!), and discuss some of the ways Go kit has taught me to write better Go.
About Ross (https://twitter.com/rossmcf):
I've been working with Go for a couple of years now, in a mixture of environments. I've put a handful of Go kit services into production, and have made a couple of contributions to the Go kit project. I've recently joined Form3 Financial Cloud.
Additionally, slots will be available for lightning talks if you'd like to practise a presentation, try out some ideas or share something you've been working on recently. Lightning talks should be kept to 5 minutes or less. There's no need to reserve a slot for these talks, but if you'd like to discuss it please reach out!
