The session will explore the first 90 days of employment, insights into the orientation process, and offer guidance on how to demonstrate your value and success during this ramp-up period to position yourself for long-term success.

Attendees will learn:

  • Practical strategies to maximize the new hire orientation process.
  • The purpose of onboarding activities.
  • How to effectively engage with your new manager, align on expectations, and approaches for managing up.
  • How to establish realistic goals and expectations for you and your employer.
  • How to maximize your value and contributions during the first 90 days.

About the presenter: Warren Cook is the CHRO/COO of a California tax law firm and former co-founder of SymbianceHR. He provides strategic leadership in both human capital management and business operations.

Warren is a human resources management subject matter expert with nearly 30 years of experience as a HR business partner, project manager, and people leader across private and public sector organizations. In his current role, he is responsible for all HR operations, quality, marketing, service delivery, engagement, and strategic planning for clients across the country.

Warren has provided executive coaching and guidance to business leaders and HR professionals at all levels including the C-Suite of Fortune 100 companies, law firms, professional services organizations, and small business leaders.

Warren holds a B.S. in Human Resource Management, an MBA in Project Management, and a M.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Warren is the author of “Applicant Interview Preparation – Practical Coaching for Today” and the co-author of “Leading Your International School.”
