OUR PANELISTS:

KHAIRUL NAZRAN is someone who cleans your data and provides the plumbing. He also occasionally builds web and mobile apps and participates in hackathons. Nazran works as a data engineer in the public sector and hopes to contribute back to the data and tech community. He food hunts and plays the guitar in his free time.

EVONNE SOON is a Data Analyst in Fave who has worn many hats ranging from Consultant, Engineer, Scientist, Project Manager and mentor. With domain knowledge in e-commerce and a Master in Data Science, she is part of an awesome team automating data solutions for internal consumers, merchants and partners in the form of automated data insights, auto-alerts for fraudulent activities, customer segmentations and recommendation system. On days where she is not piecing data puzzles together, one would find her climbing walls in bouldering centres or sipping latte in a café with a book to read or sketch.

LALEH ASADZADEH specializes in Mathematical Modelling, Statistical Analysis, Machine Learning, and programming languages, such as Python and R. She was awarded a MSc in Mathematics from Sharif University of Technology and a MSc in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University, with research experience in the modelling and analysis of social network users’ activities and defining sets in combinatorial structures and their applications in cryptography. Laleh was a Mathematics instructor, researcher, and research mentor at Isfahan Mathematics House. As a data scientist at Potentia Analytics Inc., she developed and implemented several research projects to enhance the quality of service in hospitals.

DR. VINOD RAMACHANDRAN is a Risk Data Scientist at one of ASEAN’s largest universal banks, where he serves as technical lead for the development of advanced analytics tools for risk management. Prior to joining the Bank, he was Head of Information at a local start-up and Data Scientist for a boutique data science consultancy. Vinod possesses a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, with a concentration in information geometry. His research interests include topological data science and fuzzy graphs.
