Are We Seeing the Same Thing?
Details
Have you ever listened to someone and thought, “That makes absolutely no sense.”
Meanwhile, they may be thinking exactly the same thing about you.
A hundred years ago, Carl Jung explained why two perfectly reasonable people can look at the same thing and see something completely different. It happens every day—in families, in the workplace, and even during a brief exchange with a store clerk or someone on the phone.
In this highly interactive workshop, we will move beyond definitions and experience two very different ways of taking in the world: Sensing and iNtuition.
Through activities and conversation, you will discover what naturally gets your attention, what other people notice that you may miss, and why communicating across these differences can be so frustrating.
Most importantly, you will gain a greater appreciation for what people with the opposite preference contribute—even when their way of seeing things initially seems completely unreasonable.
Based on the work of Isabel Myers and Katharine Briggs, creators of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, this workshop offers practical insights that can improve your communication, strengthen your relationships, and change how you understand people who see the world differently.
No prior knowledge of psychological type is required. However, participants are invited to complete the assessments listed below before attending.
For even more fun, learning, and personal insight, invite friends, family members, or colleagues to attend with you. The more varied the group, the more opportunities we will have to recognize Sensing and Intuition in action.
Optional Type Bases Assessments:
- Click here to take the Keirsey Temperament Sorter. Be sure to record your result.
- Click here to take the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test Record your four-letter result and screenshot the preference percentages shown.
