Rules:
Confidentiality: Respect the confidentiality of all shared experiences. What's discussed in the group stays in the group.
Active Listening: Listen attentively without interrupting. Provide supportive feedback when appropriate.
Participation: Encourage participation but respect anyone's choice to pass or remain silent.
Triggering topics: If you are about to discuss a potentially triggering topic, you must clearly state a trigger warning and briefly mention the topic (e.g. trigger warning I want to discuss end of life issues). After the warning is given, participants are responsible for managing their own triggers. They can choose to deafen themselves, step away, or take some other actions as needed.
First come first serve sharing
Because we only have one hour, those who wish to share their stories, worries, victories, or thoughts from the past week—and receive supportive feedback—will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
During the meeting, when I say ‘Start,’ please raise your hand. I will note down the first three people who raised their hands. Each person will have up to 15 minutes to share and receive supportive feedback.
If you’d like to provide support or feedback to someone who shared, please try to keep it within 5 minutes so that others have a chance to contribute as well.
