What we're about

Carlisle MINI Motoring Club was formed in Carlisle Pennsylvania by Santiago Gabela and his wife Lois in 2006. Their first attempt to set up the club and develop an active membership was a slow process. Over the years our little (MINI) club has grown. We now have more than 450 members. One imperative is a love of MINIs. What is a Carlisle MINI Motoring Club member? Whatever YOU want it to be! Our passion for our MINIs is the singular common ground that we all share, aside from that we are all individuals with many other varied interests. We are a loose knit bunch of MINIacs and that's the way we like it! Join us at one of our events...some large...some small, but all with a focus on MINIs and having fun. Now MOTOR ON!

MINI Racing at VIRginia International Raceway

Virginia International Raceway

For years a small (MINI) contingent of Carlisle MINI has motored to great racetracks on the east coast. We have been following the new generation of MINIs starting with the R53 that was campaigned by Randy Smalley's team RSR racing. Steve Dellinger traveled with this team for years serving as a crew member. Fast forward to the newer generation MINI and enter Luis Perocarpi and his LAP Motorsports Racing team. LAP will again be at VIR in mid-June - with two TC cars and one or more TCA cars. Join us as we celebrate the return of enthusiasts to some great racing venues.

Tickets are now available - including the Patriot Corral with the Operation Motorsports Crew. ticket info

We'll meet at the Sheetz on Rt 15 south of Gettysburg on Friday Morning, June 16th, and motor either to the track or to lodging in the South Boston, VA area - depending on how much of a "scenic" route we take.

Heading home Sunday after the 2nd Race (Steve) or Monday AM.

Southbound route TBD! More details to follow.

The Great Ice Cream Run 8 to MINI on the Mack

Please note: Bob with Carlisle MINI has an alternate feeder route to MINI on the Mack. This is posted as an alternate for anyone where the different dates / itinerary have an appeal.

By popular demand, Jak and Dusdee Yaemsiri, who have organized and led 7 prior ice cream runs to Bar Harbor and Mackinaw, have agree to co-ordinate Event # 8 this summer.

The ice cream run begins at Staunton VA on July 29th.
Group hotels have been reserved with overnight stops at Charleston WV, Cincinnati OH, Dearborn MI, South Haven MI and St Ignace MI.
In addition to 2-3 ice cream and donut stops daily, we will visit the US Air Force Museum Dayton OH and Henry Ford Museum.

After the end of our run, we will join up with MINI on the Mack on Aug 4-5. If you plan to participate please be sure to register @ MINI On The Mack as we will try again to break the world record of 1450 MINIs in a parade!

There are 20 hotel rooms reserved for each stop.
There are already 9 claimed by prior year participants.

For more information regarding the Ice Cream Run itinerary, hotels, stops, contact / registration information for this event, please see the Facebook page at:

Registration for MINI on the Mack is separate and can be completed here: https://www.minionthemack.com

Road Trip! Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Ford Museum, and Mini on the Mack 2023

Are you ready for an EPIC Mini road trip? Start planning now for a week long Carlisle Mini extravaganza.
On Monday, July 31, 2023 the adventure starts, meeting in Carlisle and then cruising the roads less traveled to exciting Cleveland, Ohio. Why, you might think? So Tuesday we can tour the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Wednesday morning we will drive to Detroit Michigan and then spend the afternoon on the incredible Ford Rouge Factory Tour. We will spend all day Thursday at the Henry Ford Museum of Innovation, well, as much as we can see in one day! Friday will be a scenic drive through the Michigan countryside to Mackinaw City/St Ignace to check in for Mini on the Mack 2023. Saturday is the big event and the associated festivities.
Several options from here - an easy two day drive back home to PA on the interstate (750 miles, +/- 12 hrs), a longer two day drive avoiding highways (780 miles, +/- 17 hrs) or an easy three day drive on the Trans Canada Highway and upstate NY (950 miles, +/- 19 hours), (you will need a passport).
