DuPont Lollypop Loop - About 7.5 miles/845' elevation gain

Meet at the Visitors Center on Buck Forest Road off Staton Road. I'll be there ready to hike by 10:15 a.m. The map will bring you here.

I love dogs, but none on this hike please.

We will hike about 2 - 2.3 miles/hour. We stop for regular water breaks and about 1/2 way for snacks/lunch.

Bring a snack/lunch and water. This hike will be cancelled by 6:30 a.m. the morning of the hike if there's inclement weather.

The trail: From the Visitors Center we will cross Staton Road and follow Sheep Mountain Trail. We will turn right on Cascade Trail, left on Pine Tree Trail crossing Staton Road. Then, turn right on Longside to Twixt Trail. We will reverse at that intersection and return on Longside. Our 20-30 minute break will be on Longside where we can lounge on some boulders. Then, we will stay to the right and continue on Pine Tree, cross Staton Rd., turn right on Sheep Mountain Trail eventually crossing Staton Rd. again and return to the parking lot the way we came in.
