Kayaking the Lower Green River

We'll be taking inflatable kayaks (or your personal boat) down the class I and II rapids of the Lower Green River. This is a fun river and a great way to support a local economy hit hard by Helene. We'll be paddling 4.5 miles, which will take about 2.5 hours. It may be longer or shorter, depending on river flow. You don't need to have experience but do need to be able to swim. So, come join us for a great day on the river!

We'll be renting from Green River Adventures. Here are the prices:

• Single Inflatable Kayak $55
• Double Inflatable Kayak $55 per person
• Shuttle (If you're bringing your own boat) $35

What to bring:

• Drybag (optional)
• Hat
• River shoes (preferably not flip-flops)
• Sunscreen
• Bug spray
• A dry change of clothes
• A towel
• A water bottle
• Snack

Tips: Make sure to get there early enough for a restroom stop, get checked in, and unload a personal boat if you have one. Also, don't count on cell service. I recommend downloading offline maps on Google Maps or Apple Maps for easy navigation back home.
