What we’re about
This is a second group, next to CARPE DIEM - Nature & Culture Adventues where I will focus on weekends and longer trips in the Netherlands and abroad (Europe and on other side of the mediterrean sea), connecting nature and culture, for everyone interested in travelling and tours in groups, mostly hiking in the nature, and outdoor activities like cycling and kayaking in summer, city trips with urban walks and museum visits...etc It is the perfect way to travel solo in a guided group and meet like-minded people and have fun together in small (no massive) groups around the -+ 8 to 16 people.
Attendees, practically all singles, tend to come from all different parts of the country and beyond the borders. The groups are international and usually varied in ages as well as in backgrounds with a mix of people from all nationalities (expats professionals/migrants or tourists as well as Dutchies). Usually there is a nice mix of regular attendees as well as new people coming for the first time.
You can bring 1 guest by signing up +1, as long as you (friends or couple) both integrate in the group.

Terms & Conditions and Meet Up fee
The trip price (to be paid in advance directly when signing up) is different from weekends to longer trips, depending on the accommodation, excursions, and what is included, including orgnisation coss of Eur -+ 5,- to to 15,- per person a day. This is to cover Meet Up membership, fees and expenses spent on books, maps and Komoot app, memberships of different hiking & cycling websites and magazines used for trips and hiking ideas, administration costs and the time, and all the work and effort spent on the research, investigation, planning, organization and execution of all the events and trips.
Signing up means you are committed to come and pay the bill by tickie directly, and NOT to show interest, reserve a spot or take an option and sign out later or at the moment of payment. There is no refund, except for full trips (with maximum number of attendees) when there is someone substituting you. Meet Up & administration fee (usually -/+ Eur 25,- to Eur 50,-) depending on the trip), which still will be charged though when cancelling. In case of no one joining and taking your spot, you will only get refund of the food part for some trips when that is included.
