CBAS SOCIAL EVENT - Lunch out and then tour Historic Stagville

Details
First we will meet at 11:00 at Farmside Kitchen:
5431 Page Rd., Suite 110, Durham.
They have a nice menu of very healthy looking foods and got great reviews, so let's hope it is fun! If weather permits, we will meet outside. Look for the friendly group of ladies! We might end up at several tables, depending on numbers.
*** You may want to bring some ice in a cooler in case you end up with leftovers. I have not eaten there yet, so I can't tell about portion size.
After we eat, we will drive up to Historic Stagville:
5828 Old Oxford, Durham.
This is a surviving plantation, that once housed 900 enslaved people. We can tour both the owner's house as well as where the enslaved people lived. If you are familiar with the American Girls books and dolls, part of the Addie story comes from these buildings. Historic Stagville is a Site of Conscience - and is both heartbreaking and important to learn about.
There is a $2 fee at Stagville. Plan on paying for your own lunch. ;)
Please do keep your RSVP up to date so we know how many people to expect!
The location on the map is for Historic Stagville, not the restaurant.
