2026 Cary Art Swarm

Art Swarm, the dynamic plein air event that turns downtown Cary into a lively, open‑air creative studio, returns on October 14–18, 2026.
During this multi-day event, top regional artists will be capturing Cary landmarks on canvas in outdoor settings, studio artists will be creating artwork inside the Cary Arts Center, and experts will be leading workshops like portraiture, urban sketching, abstract painting and more.
Schedule of Events
October 14–17: Artists will be painting daily from 9:30 AM–4:30 PM at downtown Cary locations. Also during these four days are 13 hands‑on workshops targeted at varying skill levels.
October 18 – Final Day: Sidewalk Sale: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM at the FALC Gallery, followed by a Public Reception & Awards Ceremony at 2:00 - 4:00 PM inside the FALC Gallery.
