Casa Tango Edmonton

Come enjoy an evening of tango, right here in Edmonton. This workshop is a complete introduction to Argentine tango aimed at complete beginners. If you have ever seen tango and wanted to try it, this is your chance! The workshop will cover a brief history of the dance, its rhythm, timing, social etiquette, as well as basic moves and combinations that will let you take your first steps in tango and show you how to dance it on the floor. Come and see if the passion of tango is for you!

👉 DETAILS:

• No Partner Needed. We rotate partners throughout the class and many people come alone.
• No Experience Necessary. The workshop is designed for those new to tango. All workshop students have no previous experience.
• Bring Change of Shoes. Please bring a second pair of shoes to preserve the dance floor. Leather soles are preferred, if possible.
• Wear Relaxed Clothing. This is not a formal event, so wear comfortable clothes, appropriate to dancing.

Learn the basics of Argentine Tango is Edmonton's oldest continuous tango school. The beginner classes will teach you rhythm, lead and follow, as well as basic moves and combinations that will let you dance tango and understand its music. The goal of this 6 week course is to take you from an absolute beginner to a basic dancer, capable of dancing tango with anyone on a social floor. The atmosphere is always relaxed and fun!
