Arrive early enough to ready your bike and sign the ride waiver if you didn't sign up online. The pace of this ride is based on having no wind. If we have a headwind, the pace will be lower, if we have a tailwind, the pace may be higher. Keep this in mind when deciding to do this ride. Great ride for new or riders looking a light "Spin". We will start from Mount Baker Beach car park, where there are restrooms. We'll make our way along Lake Washington Boulevard to the Arboretum and then to the 520 bridge. We'll pass through Medina en route to Bellevue where we'll stop for coffee and pastries at Belle Pastry on Main Street. Then we'll aim for the I90 Bridge and return to the start.

There are hills, but we ride them at our own pace and always regroup at the top; everyone will get a workout. There will be a short lunch stop mid-ride. There is a bathroom at the start. We'll ride towards Redmond via the quiet residential streets of Cottage Lake, English Hill, and Tuscany, before descending to the Sammamish River valley for a short stint on trails. We'll stop for refreshments at Fred Meyer, around mile 17, in Redmond, before heading back via Evans Creek Trail in Perrigo park, and finish up with some hills in Cottage Lake before returning to Cottage Lake Park. Ride Description: Join Clif and Jackie for a Tuesday Late Morning Coffee ride to Seven Diner (previously the Testy Chef) from Ron Regis Park and back. We'll stop for coffee and a snack, then head back. They now take cards as well as cash. This is a great way to break up the week. The out and back route is an easy railroad grade climb to Maple Valley. Try either our Tuesday or Wednesday morning ride this week. Porta Potty at the start. Registration: Please register and sign the electronic waiver. This saves time at the start of the ride. You can create a free account at Cascade.org. Weather: Please come with long fenders, including a buddy flap, if the roads are wet. The ride will be canceled with heavy rain, high winds, flooding, ice/snow or other unsafe riding conditions, and a cancellation comment will be posted here at least two hours before the start of the ride. Mechanical issues: You should be prepared to fix a flat tire, with tools, tubes and the ability to change the tire yourself. We recommend having an Orca card or a back up ride in case you are unable finish the ride. Note: Please show up to the ride start at least 20 minutes early, so we can discuss the safety briefing before starting the ride promptly at 10:00am.
