Indulge in the Devilish Dessert Wines

It's often difficult for me to write these and not be overly sensual when talking about wines as they excite so many different senses, but with this month it's going to be hard to not go even a little bit further. Can a wine truly be better than sex? Though everyone has their own opinion, it's hard not to feel a little naughty when sipping on a dessert wine. These intense sweet elixirs often referred to as "stickies" are beautiful and sophisticated, and can be as sublime as the most intense seduction. If you haven't already at one of our previous tastings, this month you'll go home grinning and giggly. ;-)

After a delicious dinner, great friends, and great conversation, who doesn't want an excuse to hang out for just a little bit longer. A wonderful sticky gives us just the reason to hang out exchange a few more stories and let the night last just for just a little while more. Dessert wines are great served right before dessert, with dessert, or in place of dessert. You might be in the habit of just getting that cup of coffee to help you digest, but after this tasting you'll be asking for that wine list back.

This months format will be slightly different than before, since there are so many different types of dessert wines.

"Wait David, I thought it was just Port and Sherry?"

Oh no no no no, you will soon find out there are many amazing types of these wonderful stickies!

We will try some:
French Sauternes
German and Canadian Eisewein
Italian Vin Santo
Some unique Tawny and Ruby Ports
and a delightful PX Sherry!

As always there is no cost to attend wine club, however if you would like to contribute to help this group grow, feel free to bring a bottle of Dessert Wine, or feel free to make a tasty dish or dessert to share. Of course you're more than welcome to make a financial contribution at the tasting which helps me make bigger and better meetups for everyone! However, none of that is necessary!
