¡Hola! My name is Maritere Varas, and I'm here to help you achieve your Spanish language goals. I've been coaching my American friends since the pandemic, and I absolutely love helping others learn and grow in their language journey.

All lessons are designed to be practical and applicable to real-life situations, following the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) guidelines. Our A1.1 level course includes 46 unique lessons—no repetitions, just fresh, engaging content each session!

Class Details:

  • Duration: Up to 2 hours
  • Schedule: Fridays at 5:00 p.m.
  • Fee: $2 per session (+ $0.06 transaction fee), totaling $2.06 per lesson

Payment is required upon RSVP, at least one day before the class to secure your spot.

If you can't attend, you may request a refund or reschedule your session with at least 24 hours' notice. Refunds or rescheduling requests made within less than 24 hours will not be accommodated.
Important: If there's a waitlist, any unpaid RSVP will be removed to allow others to join.

In this lesson will cover:
Verbos con cambio vocálico en presente:
● u –ue: jugar > juego
● o –ue: poder > puedo, volver vuelvo, dormir > duermo, volar > vuelo
Obligaciones y responsabilidades:
● tener+ que + verbo en infinitivo = (yo) tengo que trabajar 8 horas.
Respuestas positivas y negativas:
● Respuesta negativa: -¿Eres médico? -No, no soy médico. Soy enfermero.
● Respuesta positiva: -¿Eres médico? -Sí, soy médico.

  • Greet others and introduce yourself with simple personal details
  • Use polite expressions such as thank you, please, excuse me in conversations
  • Describe objects and places in simple terms
  • Express feelings using basic phrases
  • Use can or can't to discuss abilities
  • Ask and respond to yes/no questions
  • Identify people, places, and things in conversation
  • Describe daily routines and discuss timing of events
