¡Hola! My name is Maritere Varas, and I'm here to help you achieve your Spanish language goals. I've been coaching my American friends since the pandemic, and I absolutely love helping others learn and grow in their language journey.

With carefully selected materials created by experts, you'll get the best tools to develop your Spanish skills effectively and confidently.

What to Expect
Each week, you'll explore different topics covering:

  • Vocabulary
  • Reading comprehension
  • Grammar fundamentals
  • Communication skills

All lessons are designed to be practical and applicable to real-life situations, following the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) guidelines. Our A1.1 level course includes 46 unique lessons—no repetitions, just fresh, engaging content each session!

Class Details:

  • Duration: Up to 2 hours
  • Schedule: Fridays at 5:00 p.m.
  • Fee: $2 per session (+ $0.06 transaction fee), totaling $2.06 per lesson

Payment is required upon RSVP, at least one day before the class to secure your spot.

If you can't attend, you may request a refund or reschedule your session with at least 24 hours' notice. Refunds or rescheduling requests made within less than 24 hours will not be accommodated.

Ir se de vacaciones vs. estarde vacaciones:

Adjetivos:
●Sociable, vivo, colorido, delicioso, aventurero, dormilón, perezoso, activo, divertido, tímido, joven, simpático, tranquilo, serio, inteligente, bonito, alegre, antiguo, interesante, aburrido
El masculino y femenino de los adjetivos:
● Adjetivos masculinos terminan en–o: Activo, tranquilo
● Adjetivos femeninos terminan en–a: Activa, tranquila
● Adjetivos masculinos y femeninos terminan en consonante o en –e: Inteligente, joven
El plural de los adjetivos:
● Añadimos–s cuando el adjetivo termina en vocal: Serio → serios
● Añadimos–es cuando el adjetivo termina en consonante fácil→ fáciles Concordanciade los adjetivos:
● Sustantivo masculino singular → Adjetivo masculino singular (El perro tranquilo)
● Sustantivo femenino singular→ Adjetivo femenino singular (La playa bonita)
● Sustantivo masculino plural→ Adjetivo masculino plural (Los amigos divertidos)
● Sustantivo femenino plural→ Adjetivo femenino plural (Las ciudades ruidosas)
Planes:
● Querer= Intención, plan
● Quiero, quieres, quiere, queremos, quieren.
● Querer + infinitivo = Quiero aprender español.
Querer vs. gustar
● Querer = Deseo o intención
● Gustar = Preferencia
Pronunciación:
● El sonido /s/ en: Za, ce, ci, zo.

  • Use polite expressions such as thank you, please, excuse me in conversations
