Join us for a paddle on the eastern "Front Pond" of Lake Massabesic. This is the larger portion of the lake and, as such, it's very popular with recreational motor boaters and fishermen. Consequently, we can expect some wave action here and there due to boat wakes. It can also get very windy on the lake, thereby making for a tough paddle. Keep this in mind.

IMPORTANT: There is no swimming at Lake Massabesic (see boating on Lake Massabesic info). Only sit-in kayaks are allowed; no sit-on, SUP or inflatable boats. Also, the town requests that paddlers wear rubber boots to prevent skin contact with the water.

Parking: The parking can be tight at this put-in due to the presence of vehicles with boat trailers, but we can double up on the parking spots, one behind the other. I expect that on Memorial Day weekend it will be busy, so arrive early if you can.

Masks: The state mask rules have been relaxed; however, feel free to bring one and wear it as appropriate for you. Also, if we go out to eat afterwards, masks may be required at the Auburn Tavern. Bring a mas just in case it's needed.

Post-Paddle Food & Libations
After our paddle, we may head down the road to The Auburn Tavern for some post-paddle food and libations.
