Spring Warm Up Ride
Details
HATE TO CANCEL, BUT IT IS RAINING....
Come and join us for our Spring Warm Up rides, Tuesday evenings through the end of April. ALL ARE WELCOME. As this is the last week of our Spring Warm Up series, we are embracing the challenge of hills on routes that may already be familiar to you.
Our starting and stopping place is at the CAT office, at 33 W. Walnut Street in Bethlehem. Note that CAT is located on the ground floor of the city's newest parking garage; if you need it, there is plenty of car parking.
We'll start gathering around 5:30 p.m., with a ride start time of 6 p.m.. Come early if you need air in your tires, a seat adjustment, a spot of lube, or any other quick adjustment.
You can find the route for our ride here. Generally, this ride is more road-centered than our past rides, with some interludes on the S. Bethlehem Greenway and the Saucon Rail Trail, and we don't shy away from the hills. If you are uncomfortable with road riding, consider this a perfect ride for you -- riding in a group, you are extremely visible and safer than riding solo. Our route is on quiet back streets, wherever possible. We follow the rules of the road, stopping at all lights and stops signs, signalling our turns, etc.. You will NOT be left behind, no matter how slowly you ride. Let me repeat that, because we mean it -- no matter how slowly you ride, you will not be left behind.
Our total mileage is a little over 10 miles. No matter your usual riding pace, you are welcome on this ride!
All riders are required to wear a helmet. We advise that you also bring a spare tube that fits your wheel and a bottle of water.
This ride is weather permitting. Any last minute change or cancellations will be announced on Meetup, so please check here for weather concerns. If you have any other questions we can help with, please contact ride leader Anne (annef@lvcat.org) or Don(donk@lvcat.org). We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday evening!
