Details

Work on Climate and ClimateAction.tech co-sponsor this event with Joycelyn Longdon, UK-based designer, AI researcher, and founder of Climate in Colour. We'll discuss her research, her climate justice work, and applications of technology and design to climate justice-conscious solutions.

Joycelyn is a 23-year-old PhD student at Cambridge University on the Artificial Intelligence For Environmental Risk (AI4ER) and an affiliated researcher on the ERC funded Smart Forests Project.
Her PhD work looks to investigate the intersection, or lack thereof, of biodiversity and forest health indicators between Indigenous Knowledge and ML analysis and develop an ethical AI in forest conservation framework.
