Targets, Strikes, Bombs & Butterflies: Connecting climate movement strategies

Details

Join us for an open discussion on the climate movement. As the climate movement grows, we've noticed increasing criticism and cynicism in climate conversations, and we want to flip the script.

We have a loose agenda to:

  • Discuss the climate movement at a high level, using the butterfly model of social transformation
  • Share what we're working on and/or what we're struggling with
  • Explore ways to collaborate and leverage each other's work

Let's find ways to connect, strengthen and expand the climate movement together!

Purpose & intent: To create a space where everyone can learn from other parts of the climate movement, expand each other's perspectives on what is possible, and be more strategic in our climate actions. We also hope to build solidarity and create opportunities for collaboration.

Who this event is for: This event is for advocates and activists who are related to climate or tech (IT). If you've wondered how your group can "be more effective" or "have more impact" -- this event is for you! It is open to CAT members and organizers/members from other advocacy groups.

Privacy: A summary of key insights and best practices will be shared after the event and be featured in the upcoming issue of Branch: "Finding beauty in the imperfect". No names or specific organizations will be mentioned without explicit permission.
