About us
This is a meetup for rational, high-agency people who want to co-create projects that make the world better — whether you’re here as a professional, a curious amateur, or simply someone who cares.
Members bring ideas at any stage: early questions, rough concepts, ambitious visions, or ongoing projects. Some ideas are small. Some are large. Some are only at the early stage of noticing a problem that needs to be solved. Our shared focus is on turning these ideas into clear, practical, testable next steps.
We emphasize starting with small experiments—emails, prototypes, conversations, pilots, or short write-ups—and using what we learn to decide what’s worth expanding. Some projects stay small. Some grow. Both are fine.
We think clearly together, identify leverage points, and help each other move from abstract ideas to concrete action.
Domains commonly discussed include climate, AI safety, political polarization, energy systems, institutional design, science communication, and other complex social or technical challenges. But any non-political or non-ideological area that helps the world is welcome.
FORMAT
Meetings adapt to attendance.
With smaller groups, we use a roundtable discussion where participants share ideas and receive questions and feedback.
With larger groups, we form small discussion groups focused on specific domains, then reconvene to share insights.
WHAT WE ARE NOT
This is not a partisan or ideological organization.
It is not a space for promoting specific political agendas.
Our focus is practical problem-solving, not advocacy.
WHO THIS IS FOR
People who enjoy thoughtful discussion, collaborative problem-solving, and experimenting in the real world. People who see problems in the world and have ideas on how to solve them.
Everyone brings ideas.
Everyone refines ideas.
Everyone chooses their own path.
Start small. Think clearly. Act rationally.
Welcome to the Catalyst Circle!
