Azure Express Route - Pros and Cons

Overview:

In this presentation, we will discuss the pros and cons of Azure ExpressRoute from two different perspectives: a Senior Systems Engineer who has worked with ExpressRoute in an in-house IT environment and a consultant who has implemented ExpressRoute for various customers. We will cover key topics such as increased reliability, lower networking costs, choosing the correct provider, high cost of circuit (double billing), added complexity, and finally, whether ExpressRoute is worth it and how to determine if it’s worth it for your business.

Speaker:

Josh Coons has over 20 years of experience in IT as both an in-house IT professional and consultant. Josh has worked in all levels of the industry from an old-school help desk to a modern service desk, as well as a systems administrator and Principal Engineer for a mid-sized Managed Service Provider and IT consulting firm. Before coming to TechSmith, Josh spent the better part of the last decade doing the work of a Principal Engineer migrating customers to Azure and as a vCIO helping small to mid-sized companies plan their IT needs.
