Remember how much fun it was to go sled riding? Well, we can return to our youth for one glorious winter afternoon by going snow tubing at Boyce Park on Saturday January 10th, (weather permitting). They have a mountain of tubes to pick from, and there is an array of 8 tubing lanes, all serviced by a people-mover that gently rides you up the hill. Then you get in line in one of the lanes so you can slide your tube down the slope just like in those happy days of your childhood! Don’t worry. Lots of fun-loving adults are there, so you won’t look a bit out-of-place.

It costs $17 for a 90-minute session. We selected 1:30 – 3:30 PM (get there at 1), but you have to buy your ticket early because they limit the number of people per session. Tubing lift tickets should be purchased online in advance because they sell out. So it’s best to buy in advance the day before to reserve your spot during this session. Tickets are available at:

Of course, there has to be snow for this event to go on. To check the snow conditions there, go to https://www.alleghenycounty.us/parks/boyce/snowconditions.aspx

Dress warm! Your host for this event is Mike (412) 518-8337. Afterwards, we will go out for an early dinner. (Tubing makes you hungry.)
