Cemetery Tales: Pittsburgh's Buried Art and History
Details
The Brentwood Library is hosting a wonderful talk about historic Pittsburgh cemeteries with an educator from The Frick Pittsburgh in the Program Room. This program highlights Pittsburgh’s picturesque cemeteries and explores the history of burial grounds in the United States and how they transformed into revered and often visited park-like spaces. Colorful slides show the evolution of the art and design of tombstones and memorials, and equally colorful vignettes tell the stories of the notable and interesting Pittsburghers who lie beneath them. You must register for this event directly on the Brentwood Library website. To get you to the registration page, copy this link to your browser: https://brentwoodlib.librarycalendar.com/event/cemetery-tales-pittsburghs-buried-art-and-history-3977 or you can visit the Brentwood Library Calendar of events online. This should be informative, fun and a little bit different. Hope to see you there.
