What we’re about

Philosophy is a powerful tool for finding inner peace because finding answers to the big questions can give you acceptance and hope. But the important thing is you must find a philosophy that you believe in.

If you have not yet found a philosophy that you can fully embrace and you also like evidence based perspectives, this may be the philosophy for you.

This Meetup structure will be:

  • instructions given for particular exercises to better understand your thoughts and decisions.
  • time to practice, then
  • time to share what you learned.

Causationalism states:

  • all things have a cause
  • by identifying what will cause what you want, you can find hope,
  • by identifying what caused a bad outcome you can find acceptance.

Advantages of Causationalism include:

  • an extremely simple principle,
  • extremely easy to show to be true through our experiences,
  • removes the need for any supernatural explanations,
  • powerful in making enduring hope and acceptance possible no matter what life throws at you.

It works because everyone:

  • finds hope when they know how they can cause what they want,
  • acceptance when they know what caused a bad outcome and
  • believes their experiences more then what they are told.

The science behind this philosophy can be learned at

  • Inner Wellbeing and
  • Philosophy Cafe.

This is an experiential Meetup where we will do exercises to allow you to test Causationalism. You will also be able to meet and drink tea with other Causationalists. Please feel free to bring a yoga mat to sit on during the meetup.
