💌Write Nice Letters To Elderly Or Vulnerable People

There are many people in care homes and supported living accommodation who have had little contact (and will continue to have little contact) with people from the outside for many months. A friendly, cheerful letter from you could make a big difference and help them to not feel as lonely.

Join us, and send some smiles across the miles to those who need them most.

I’ll provide all the writing material you will need to brighten someone’s day. All you need to bring is your wonderful self!

If it’s your first time, don't worry, I’ll have guidelines and inspirational suggestions.

This is a micro-volunteering event so you are equally welcome to pop in for just 30 mins or to stay for the entire event.

*** SPECIAL REQUESTS ***

I pay for the materials myself (ie stationery, stickers, envelopes, postage, etc). But it can all add up, so any donations on the night will be most welcome & appreciated. This could be postcards, large envelopes, stickers, etc etc that you may have. OR you could just donate £1 (cash) on the night. That being said, please don’t worry at all if you aren’t able to donate anything! Just coming and sharing your wonderful time and presence is enough!

• If you click to attend but then can’t come, PLEASE change your RSVP to say you are no longer attending. This will then allow your space to go to another volunteer who can come instead.
• This is a safe and respectful gathering. So please remember to always act respectfully and to be mindful of each other's boundaries.

We will be in Paul’s, which is just opposite Earls Court tube station. Look for the table with lots of stationary on it!
