About us
This is a relaxed, small-group djembe drum circle for anyone who wants to enjoy rhythm, meet like-minded people, and build confidence playing in a group.
Whether you’ve never played before or have a bit of experience, you’re welcome.
Led by an experienced djembe facilitator, teaching rhythms from West Africa and beyond.
Drums can be hired for £5 (reservation essential), so you don’t need your own to get started.
We’ll be running weekly sessions in the Reading / Caversham area.
If you’re looking for something a bit different, creative, and social, this is for you.

Come join for a relaxed, friendly African drumming djembe session where complete beginners are welcome. No musical experience needed.
It's a chance to switch off, meet new people, learn some rhythm, and make music together in a supportive environment.
We currently have a lovely group of around 10 people, most of whom started with little or no drumming experience.Drum hire available (booking advised).
