Join us at 7:00pm CT every 4th Monday of the Month at OakHill Theater (Squarerut Kava Bar) for Poetry Open Mic Night!
At CBC Poetry Open Mic Night, you can expect a welcoming, inclusive, and low-pressure environment that celebrates the power of words in all their forms. Whether you write poetry, spoken word, monologues, lyrics, or prose, this is a space to share your voice—or simply listen and support fellow creatives.
Like the name implies, the microphone is open to anyone who wants to read aloud original or pre-existing poetry. Participation is always optional, and respectful listening is required.

- 🎙️ Open-mic–style poetry and spoken word readings
- 📖 Original works, pre existing, and experimental pieces welcome
- 🤝 A supportive audience with no pressure to perform for creatives of all backgrounds and experience levels

🪑 Limited space available - 10 participants per session with a time limit of 5 minutes per speaker. This is to maintain intimacy and give everyone space and time to be heard.
