Understanding and Optimizing SQL Server Performance
Details
Abstract
Do you need help understanding why queries are suddenly slow? Or why reports have highly variable performance? The database is a common bottleneck for many applications, and many developers need to understand database performance better. In this session, you will learn how SQL Server and Azure SQL execute and process queries and the importance of query execution plans. You will also learn about T-SQL patterns and anti-patterns, how newer optimizer features can benefit your workloads, and how to monitor your query performance across SQL Server versions and platforms.
