We will be broadcasting this class via Youtube, so everyone on waitlist will get to at least watch. We will have twitter, skype and gchat open during the class for all who are watching to ask questions.
Everyone who attends (either waitlisted or actually in the class) will get a code for 3 free usertesting.com tests -- IF they give me their email address so I can send them the code.
Running your own usability tests has never been easier with the many tools available online that offer quick recruiting of users, easy setup and rapid analysis.
But as easy as these tools are, if you don't design your test as carefully as you designed what you are testing, you can end up with bad data that can lead to bad design and business decisions.
In this FREE online class, I'll use two of the leading tools for diy usability testing, Loop11 and usertesting.com to show how to set up and run your usability tests to get the information you need.
While I'll give an overview of each tool, I'll focus mainly on developing a test plan (what do you want to learn, what users need to recruited, how many users, what tasks are you asking them to perform, do you need video, who are you trying to convince with the results, etc).
This class will be great for designers, developers, product managers, and anyone else who wonders why users are doing what the analytics reports say they are doing.
This class will be conducted via Google Hangout. There will be a SMALL amount of pre-class homework that I'll send out 2 weeks before the class along with Google Hangout instructions.
