Details

Check the weather and the ride on the calendar before showing up - this is Colorado so always be prepared for whatever may be thrown at you!

One note: if you have a range on your tank of under 120 miles, please let me know at the start as we can add an additional stop to make sure we don't end up pushing your bike.

We will start our preride meeting at 9:45 with kickstands up at 10:00 am. The ride will start with a short trip down I-70, then we will get off the freeway and head up US 36 through Watkins, Bennett and Byers, past the High Plains Raceway with our first stop (stretch break ONLY-the only service here is a port-o-let) at Last Chance.

From there, we will turn north and head across through Brush-where we will make a quick gas stop. Then we will take short jaunt to Fort Morgan, where we will stop at the Sonic Drive-In (they have picnic tables that we can use) for lunch.

After lunch, we will head back west through Kersey and turn onto US-85 (we will have some lovely rural views and some less lovely close drive-bys on some feedlots-sorry). We will continue into Brighton, where we will make our final stop at the Dairy Queen and from there everyone can head for home in whatever route makes sense.

The total ride is just under 200 miles and is fairly flat without a lot of difficult spots-but it is a nice chance to see some places/routes that we don't ride in as often. It is mostly rural two lane roads, with just a bit of highway riding to get us there and back home. I would class this ride as easy.

Here is a link to the planned ride route-or at least as close to it as I could get Googlemaps to make for me. :> https://maps.app.goo.gl/ipmMPhudZEnupESc6
