Burlington Carousel Ride

Check the weather and the ride on the calendar before showing up - this is Colorado!

We will begin the ride at the Flying J, 16751 East 32nd Ave in Aurora. Our pre-ride meeting will be at 9:00 am and we will roll out at 9:15 am. We will head straight east, leaving I-70 at exit 292 and going along US 36 through Watkins, Bennett, Strasburg and Byers. We will head east across the plains on 36 all the way to US 385 where we will head south to Burlington.

The historic carousel is at the Kit Carson County Fairgrounds and costs 50 cents to ride. Touring the museum is $1.

Lunch will be decided by the group and then discussion on where we can get ice cream. We can then head home potentially on I-70. This ride is known for its sometimes wild weather so bring gear suited to a variety of conditions. The total distance is around 375 miles and over easy, almost arrow straight roads.
